I saw many similar comments after the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hainan_Island_incident\">Hainan Island incident<\/a>.  They&#8217;re characterized by what would seem an extreme nationalistic\/patriotic point of view by European\/American standards, combined with a tendency to actually deny the obvious if it conflicts with ones point of view rather than to merely spin it, the common tactic in the West.  We&#8217;re rather more sophisticated than them in that respect.
